"As far as the lustre, it's not quite as shiny as I see in the picture, nor quite as shiny as I hoped. The 'black' pearls are more of a an irredescent blend of charcoal grey, black, and deep burgundy purple. Having said that, this string of pearls is still very beautiful, very elegant, and very CLASSY! MOST IMPORTANTLY, my wife LOVES them as it is the first string of pearls she's ever owned and has wanted some for a while.
